Relic newsletter: Los Angeles Demo Room

Hello Everybody!

Some of you first met us at NAMM 2017, others reconnected with us at Synthplex 2022 and NAMM 2024, and many of you joined us at Superbooth 2026 in Berlin. At Superbooth, we gave the first public demos of the Relic with production hardware — in other words, we are finally beyond the prototype stage!

Now the journey continues.

We’re currently in Los Angeles, California, where we’ve opened a dedicated demo room in the University Park area (just north of USC). Over the next few weeks, we’ll be meeting with musicians, producers, studios, and members of our waiting list to continue sharing the instrument in person.

If you’re in the Los Angeles area anytime from July 21 - August 7, we’d love to invite you to experience the Relic firsthand.

During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Spend as much time as you’d like exploring the instrument
  
• Hear the sound that makes the Relic different, without the limitations of YouTube audio
  
• Ask us anything about design, engineering, and development
  
• Meet the team behind the project in a relaxed environment

To preserve the feeling of a small-group demo, we’re offering two session start times each day:

• 2:00 PM
  
• 5:00 PM

If you’d like to visit, simply email relic@shearelectronics.com with your preferred date and session time, and we’ll send you the location details. If neither of these time slots works for you, please feel free to email us anytime, and we’ll be happy to discuss alternative arrangements.

We’re also beginning to update our website (shearelectronics.com/relic/relic). Over the coming weeks, you’ll find new photos, videos, technical information, and behind-the-scenes content as the project continues to evolve. We’ll try to add updates as frequently as we can, so it’s worth checking back from time to time. Thank you for following this project, whether you’ve been with us since NAMM 2017 or only discovered us recently.

This project seems to inspire a great deal of enthusiasm across the planet — that’s what gives us the energy to keep pushing forward every day.
We thrive on your excitement, and we’re eager to keep sharing this journey with you.
